    Dropping the C-word

    Warning: meat curtains ahead.
OK, so Jane Fonda used a certain word that begins with "c" and rhymes with "runt" on the Today show yesterday.  And while there seems to be an uproar about it, if you watch the clip, the context in which she used the C-word seemed as appropriate as you could ever use the C-word when not coming right out and calling someone (awfukit) a cunt.  They were talking about The Vagina Monologues after all.
Oh, but what will I tell my children?  I get so tired of people who get so worked up about having to explain things to their kids.  That's part of being a parent.
What is way funnier is that someone asked Jane Fonda to do a segment on The Vagina Monologues called "The Cunt."  If I were Jane, I would think someone was trying to tell me something.

Most people probably didn't even notice.... And it was the title -so screw whoever is offended. If we can say vagina, why not the other? I know, I know.

I hate "that" word - but heard the segment and didn't even notice, or care, after it was pointed out. I mean, it's not like she was on the show to promote Ash Wednesday!

Does anyone else think that this was a pure promotions stunt? Today's show ratings are WAY down, and the Vagina Monologue show is not the hit that it was a few years ago...Coincendence? I think not.

i think we should petition the recently back to work writers guild to develop a new project for television, stage and film called: CUNT: The Musical and i think i should get an Executive Producer credit...and residuals. okay, title and kickbacks for you too, Audient, since i'm posting on your blog.

i don't have any problem with the word cunt. a friend of mine and i were just talking (while tipsy) about how we have a lack of open sexual discourse in this country and that only good can come of increased openness in talking about sex.

lemme get this straight. some folks don't know where they stand on waterboarding, killing iraqis, and sacrificing the lives of american soldiers (some of whom can't even buy an alcoholic beverage for chrissakes)like it's one of life's profound mysteries whether or not to kill and torture, but there is a twist over Jane Fonda saying the word cunt?
